An arresting-agency label therefore does not prove where a person slept or which office created the booking record. Ask who was the actual custodian.
The public page does not identify an operating jail. Its listed office at 212 E. Washington is also the county courthouse, so that street address should not be described as a jail. No official page reviewed publishes a population count, current roster, release archive, booking-photo gallery, release schedule, or sheriff inmate app. Those negative findings matter. They mean the local search begins with a call and a precise record request, not with an invented online jail list.
Where Sheriff Releases Go
A Cheyenne County custody exit can lead to several places. Bond, own recognizance, a court order, time served, or sentence completion may send the person into the community.
